I mean, at the end of the day the game is small enough that both ways are fast, but if you want to quickly "reset" your parts folder to default all you need to do is delete it and it will refresh itself the next time you boot the game. This saves you from having to download the entire 2GB game again. The game will automatically rebuild the parts/gamedata folders if you delete them and will automatically download all of the core parts for the game. One requires the ENTIRE game to be downloaded, one only downloads the default set of parts. Option 2: Delete the entire parts and gamedata folders and then launch the game (~100mb) Option 1: Remove the entire game and re-download it via steam (2gb) It's better to just nuke the thing and start from a clean copy unless you have a monthly bandwidth limit or something.
